The People Living with HIV Networking Zone
GNP+ has announced the program for the People Living with HIV Networking Zone in the Global Village (Booth 501). It promises ‘An array of panels, dialogues, discussions, art and entertainment activities will be hosted at the zone every day during the conference’. Organized by and for people living with HIV from around the globe. It will be open from 9 am every day Monday 23rd to Friday the 27th. As far as I know the program is ONLY available online so download the PLHIV Networking Zone Program here. And yes, the zone will feature a guest appearance by my alter-ego sister Divine Revelation for your delight and delectation.
The Harm Reduction Networking Zone.
The final line-up of supporters for the Harm Reduction Networking Zone is also out.
Organised by a wide-ranging partnership of organisations this zone will have a ‘Prison Corner’ (coffee corner) running Monday through Friday and a full programme of events Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at booth 509 in the Global Village. HIV testing in Amsterdam?
If you are looking to get tested for HIV while in Amsterdam, then the Amsterdam Checkpoint is open Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 13.00 to 19.00. it is next to Waterlooplein Metro at Jodenbreestraat 158, 1011 NS, Amsterdam (020-620 6261). Beyond Blame 2018 – HIV Criminalisation Pre-Conference
The HIV Justice Network on behalf of HJWW (HIV JUSTICE WORLDWIDE) has compiled a 2-page pdf of HIV criminalisation highlights at AIDS 2018. Although the list is non-exhaustive, it should help you navigate your way through the most important meetings/sessions/posters before, during and outside the main conference that relate to HIV criminalisation. If you are not able to come to Amsterdam, they will be live streaming all of the plenary sessions from Beyond Blame 2018 on HIV JUSTICE WORLDWIDE’ s YouTube Channel. The Human Rights Networking Zone
Monday, July 23rd is when this zone kicks off with a ‘Welcome Reception’ from 17.00 – 18.30
The zone is in the middle of the Global Village at booth 520.
On the mornings of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, you can start your day off there (from 9.00- 10.30) with coffee and ‘compelling short films about human rights and unjust HIV criminalisation’.
