Advances in science have been significant, including widespread acceptance that HIV is untransmittable with an undetectable viral load, increased Prep rollout, innovative treatment delivery methods and promising developments in cure and vaccine research. But while there have been success stories, prevention efforts continue to lag and new HIV infections are still on the rise among key populations and young women and girls….

This year AIDS 2018 is offering a more interactive experience of the conference programme with access to live streaming of key events.
Here you can access live coverage of the opening and closing sessions as well as the plenaries, special sessions and press conferences.

The #AIDS2018 tag is being used to drive the content that shows up on the site – including links to this blog. Check it out!
ACCESSING THE PROGAMME ONLINE
As well as the live streaming starting on the 23rd of July, you can access all the abstracts and posters that will be presented through the conference programme online. It is a bit confusing to search the programme so here is a mini-guide
• The conference website is open to all – https://www.aids2018.org/
• Click here or on the tab that says Programme and then Programme Online
• You can then use the SEARCH FUNCTION on the right-hand side of the screen
• For example, if you type in MIGRANT you will the see all the sessions, posters, people etc

• And clicking on these will then bring up the individual sessions etc
• All session content will be available through the online programme – except some content might not be available based on speaker consent.
ONLINE CONFERENCE BULLETIN
There is also going to be an online bulletin that will be produced during the conference by NAM (AIDSMAP). This will be produced in several languages and you can sign up to receive the bulletins and find out more here.
It doesn’t matter how you like to connect, remotely or in person, through social media or online via the web as the last line of the Amsterdam affirmation says; ‘Now, more than ever, we need people, politics and power to come together to deliver a more just and inclusive response’.
