US Senate and House of Representatives recommend a 15.6% increase in funding to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria
ICASO, Global Development One and ICAD applaud the US Senate and House of Representatives for recommending funding of at least $1.56 billion per year for the next three years to the Global Fund to continue its fight against three of the world’s most devastating communicable diseases.
19 September 2019 (Toronto, ON) – The US Senate Appropriations Committee posted the State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs fiscal year 2020 funding bill on September 18 recommending a 15.6 percent increase in funding the Global Fund from the previous year. If approved by the full Senate this will be the first increase to the Global Fund in the past six years.
